This project involved the full renovation of a 60 sqm apartment at Bygdøy, including the creation of a new ceiling opening into the loft above the living room.

Because the apartment had limited sun exposure, one of the main goals was to open up the layout as much as possible to allow natural light to flow in from both ends. The bedroom and bathroom remained in their original locations for cost efficiency. The kitchen was also kept in place but reduced in size to create more space for the living and dining areas. We also opened a section of the kitchen wall so that sunlight from the kitchen window could reach the living room.

The ceiling was opened to the loft, adding significant height and making the living areas feel more spacious and airy.
